One of the most important focuses is your wellbeing and mental health whilst on a course with SCL, ensuring we do everything we can to support you to go far. As a business who puts the ‘learner at the centre of everything’, we do this in a few different ways.
WEEKLY TUTORIALS
We are nationally accredited for information, advice and guidance and we are trained in these areas to help you with your development. Our tutorials not only cover a wide variety of topics but they also cover wellbeing topics.
Each week you will attend a 1.5 hour tutorial lesson. These session will cover 36 topics over the year, delivered by your personal tutor. In each session, you will have the opportunity to discuss a number of topics, including:
YOUR GUIDE FOR ONLINE LEARNING
We have developed a wellbeing guide to support our students who are completing a mix of online and on-site learning, and for students learning remotely.
All our staff are trained on the use of this guide and it will provide you with the highest level of support on your journey with SCL.
Here, we have a key focus on areas which we feel are most prevalent for virtual learning. We feature these themes throughout our delivery going forward, with a special focus on mental health and wellbeing support for people working remotely or in isolation.
An important part of your wellbeing is staying active, whilst onboarding with us take a look at some of our fitness content which you can do alongside the sports training at your chosen venue.
We developed an 8-week training programme as an option for you as part of your course.
